Common questions

I do not have an invite code

Pin & Tonic opens area by area. Put yourself on the waiting list and you will get a code as soon as enough people have come together in your corner.

Why can I not see any photos?

That is the point of the app. At first, all that is visible is a short voice recording. Photos are only released once you have met and both of you have confirmed in the app that the date took place.

How do I delete my account?

In the app, tap the gear at the top right of the map, then "Delete account" at the bottom. You will be asked to confirm. After that, profile, voice, photos, chats and matches are removed entirely. This cannot be undone.

How do I cancel Plus?

The subscription runs through your Apple ID, not through us. On iPhone: Settings, tap your name at the top, then "Subscriptions". You can cancel there at any time. It keeps running until the end of the period you paid for.

Someone is behaving badly

Report the person directly in the app. You will find the option in their profile and in the chat. We review every report and block accounts permanently where the rules are broken. In the case of criminal acts we involve the authorities. More in the Terms of Use.

I feel uncomfortable at a meeting

Leave. You owe nobody a meeting. Meet in public places first and tell someone where you are. In an emergency, the number in Germany is 110; across the EU, 112 also works.

Where is my data held?

On servers in Frankfurt am Main. Your location is rounded to a cell of about one kilometre before it leaves your device; for the map we never store exact coordinates. The one exception is BlindCrush: there we check on the spot whether you really are standing together, and for that we keep the location of whoever confirms first until the second person confirms. Details in the privacy policy.

Which languages does the app speak?

German and English. The app follows the language of your device. Some things stay in German because they are names: Abendfunk is called Airtime in English, Kiezgang is called Blockwalk.

This is a translation for convenience. The German version is the original. Deutsche Fassung.
