Delete your account
This is where you delete your account with Pin & Tonic, the app by PentzStudio One (owner David Pentz). There are two ways: by email, without opening the app, or directly in the app.
Without the app: by email
Write to contact@pentzstudio.one from the email address you use to sign in to Pin & Tonic. Subject: "Delete my account". One sentence is enough.
That is all we need. Pin & Tonic knows your account only by this email address. There is no password and no phone number. So please do not send us your name, date of birth, ID or screenshots.
Writing from a different address? Then state the address you sign in with. We send a question to that address and delete once you have confirmed from there. The same applies if you signed up with a forwarding address: the question goes to that address and is forwarded to you. This makes sure nobody can have someone else's account deleted.
If you no longer have access to your sign-in address, write to us anyway. We will work out with you how you can show that the account is yours.
How fast we delete
We delete your account without undue delay, and at the latest one month after we receive your request. If we need to ask you to confirm, the month runs from your confirmation. Once the deletion is done, we tell you so at your sign-in address.
In the app
On the map, tap the gear at the top right. "Your data" opens. At the very bottom tap "Delete account …", then "Yes, delete my account for good". The deletion happens immediately and cannot be undone. The path is the same on iPhone and on Android.
Uninstalling the app does not delete your account.
If you have Plus: cancel it as well
Deleting your account does not end your Plus subscription. The subscription runs through Apple or Google Play, not through us, and we cannot cancel it for you. Cancel it as well, otherwise you will keep being charged.
- iPhone: Settings, tap your name at the top, then "Subscriptions". Select Pin & Tonic Plus there and cancel.
- Android: in Google Play open your subscriptions, select Pin & Tonic Plus, then "Cancel subscription".
For the rest of a period you have already paid for, there is no refund from us.
What is deleted
Together with your account, the following disappear entirely:
- your profile and your voice, including the files themselves and not only the entries pointing to them
- your photos
- your matches, chats and voice messages, for both sides
- the record of your pre-calls
- your Wingman testimonial
- a couple story you are part of
- your wishes
- the record of your consent
- your cell on the map
- the trail for protection against misuse that is kept for your account
- your phone's notification token in our database
- your waiting list entry, if it carries the same email address
What remains, and for how long
- Daily voice answers (Airtime, Blockwalk) and your evening plan: until the following day at the latest. A nightly run deletes everything that is not from the current day.
- Usage events: 90 days from when they were created, then deleted automatically. They carry no identifier, neither yours nor anyone else's, and cannot be attributed to you, not even by us.
- Server logs of this website: a few days, to fend off technical attacks. This only concerns you if you visited this website.
- A couple story that was published outside the app with your consent: we take it down on our side. We cannot retrieve copies other people made in the meantime.
- Your purchase records: you buy Plus from Apple or Google. What they store about your purchase is governed by their terms. We have no influence on it.
Deleting only some of your data
You do not want to lose the whole account, only part of it? Some of this works directly in the app: a new recording of your voice overwrites the old one. You can switch off or delete your Wingman testimonial, also without Plus. You can withdraw your consent to a couple story at any time, and the file is then deleted. For anything else, write to us from your sign-in address and tell us what should go.
Details on all data are in the privacy policy.
